Governorship candidates and running mates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) from the seven northwestern states have met to discuss coordinated strategies for tackling the region’s worsening insecurity.
Governorship candidates of the African democratic Congress (ADC) and their running mates from the Northwest are meeting at the Yaradua Centre in Abuja to address the rising cases of insecurity in the region.
The meeting is holding under the banner of the Northwest Governorship Strategy Group.
The candidates in attendance are drawn from the seven northwestern states, comprising Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, and Kebbi states.
Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, is presiding over the meeting.
Top on the agenda is how the insecurity situation can be addressed.
