The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched a mobilisation drive across the North-West as part of efforts to strengthen support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections. The initiative will involve tours of the region’s seven states to engage stakeholders, reinforce grassroots structures, and build momentum ahead of the polls.

The North-West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched plans to intensify voter mobilisation across the region as part of its preparations for the 2027 general elections and to strengthen support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The decision was reached during a meeting of the party’s zonal leadership held at its headquarters in Kaduna. The meeting, chaired by the APC North-West Zonal Secretary, Sah Achida, reviewed the political situation in the region and outlined strategies for the next election cycle.
In a statement issued by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mada, the party described the North-West as a key political stronghold, noting that the region delivered significant support to President Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election. The APC expressed confidence that it could improve on that performance in 2027.
As part of its strategy, the party said it would embark on a tour of the seven North-West states to engage stakeholders, strengthen grassroots structures and identify practical measures to consolidate its support base ahead of the polls.
The APC also highlighted what it described as a historic political milestone, stating that all seven states in the North-West are currently governed by the party, a development it said underscores the region’s strategic importance.
The zonal leadership commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for donating a utility vehicle to support the party’s activities, describing the gesture as a demonstration of commitment to the APC’s growth in the region.
It also acknowledged the continued support of APC governors in the North-West, saying their contributions have helped sustain the operations of the party’s zonal headquarters.
The North-West APC praised leading APC figures from the region, including Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, ministers and other political officeholders appointed by Tinubu, for their support for both the administration and the party.
The party urged its leaders and members to maintain the momentum as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
