A three-vehicle collision on the Gbagada Ramp Bridge connecting to Ifako in the early hours of Thursday has caused a traffic backlog, leaving motorists facing delays along the busy Lagos route.
A multiple-vehicle accident involving three vehicles — a car and two trucks — caused an obstruction on the Gbagada Expressway in Lagos, resulting in a traffic backlog.
The accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday at the Gbagada Ramp Bridge connecting to Ifako.
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) disclosed this in a post on its X handle.
According to LASTMA, no casualties were recorded in the accident, while efforts were underway to evacuate the vehicles from the road.
“The crash resulted in the obstruction of the access road and has caused a backlog, but with no casualties recorded.
“Safety cones have been strategically deployed as caution signs, while the rescue team is on ground carrying out necessary evacuation procedures.”
LASTMA later said all the vehicles involved in the accident had been removed from the location and normal traffic had been restored.
