The AGM featured a detailed presentation of key investments undertaken by the association. These include the acquisition of XJAYS House in Abuja, a three-bedroom bungalow located at Army Scheme II, Kurudu, on a 500-square-metre plot of land.

.

The property was commissioned by the Marist Provincial, Brother Mark Omede, in the presence of past presidents, Board of Trustees members, chapter leaders and other stakeholders. It has since been leased for ₦2.6 million and is currently occupied, with another rental cycle expected before the end of 2026.

.

The association also reported progress on its agricultural investment under LOCHI Farms, where ₦2.25 million was invested in the purchase of five young cattle. The livestock is projected to yield ₦3.5 million upon maturity and sale by December 2026, generating an estimated profit of ₦1.25 million.

.

According to the President, these investments are part of a broader strategy to reduce reliance on dues and strengthen the long-term financial base of the organisation.

.

The AGM also highlighted ongoing member engagement initiatives, including the Monthly Zoom Knowledge Series, which provides a platform for professional learning across entrepreneurship, health, investment and personal development.

.

In addition, the Monthly XJAYS Newsletter was introduced as a documentation and communication tool to preserve institutional records and enhance information flow across chapters.

.

The administration also reported progress in chapter revitalisation efforts, including the successful reactivation of the Umuahia Chapter after two years of inactivity. The chapter recently conducted elections for the first time in a decade and has resumed active participation in national activities.

.

The International President also commended the Port Harcourt Chapter for its financial and logistical support in hosting the 2026 reunion, including responsibility for hall arrangements and hospitality programmes.

.

“This is the first time a host chapter is taking up such heavy expenditure. God bless the Port Harcourt Chapter,” he said.

.

During the AGM, two members were recognised for outstanding service and dedication to the organisation. The International Secretary, Dr. Chris Aghalibe, was honoured for administrative excellence, while the Vice President of the Abuja Chapter was recognised for consistent commitment to organisational development.

.

Members also approved key resolutions for future events. Enugu Chapter was selected to host the 2027 XJAYS International Reunion, while Aba Chapter will host the second XJAYS Business Summit scheduled for November 2027.

.

In his closing remarks, the International President expressed appreciation to members, chapters, trustees and stakeholders for their support during his first year in office and called for continued collaboration to sustain ongoing reforms and initiatives.
