Police authorities in Ogun State have recovered the Lexus RX300 earlier reported missing from the residence of the slain broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku, who was killed by gunmen on Sunday
In a statement, the Public Relations Officer of the Ogun Police Command, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the vehicle was recovered during a night operation and has since been secured as a critical exhibit in the ongoing investigation.
Meanwhile, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, on Tuesday visited the residence of the late broadcaster, where she and her security guard were recently found dead under yet-to-be-disclosed circumstances.
“The visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ogun State Police Command to unravel the mystery surrounding the tragic deaths and intensify investigations into the disturbing incident,” the police statement read in part.

During the on-the-spot assessment, Ojajuni inspected the premises and received detailed briefings from detectives handling the case, during which he reiterated the command’s determination to ensure that all those connected to the incident are identified, apprehended, and prosecuted.
In his address, the commissioner expressed condolences to the family of the deceased and assured residents of Ogun State that the Command is deploying all available resources to track down the perpetrators.
He said that significant progress is being made in the investigation, adding that the police would continue to keep the public informed as new developments emerge.
The deaths of the retired broadcaster and her security guard have generated concern among residents, with many calling for a swift and thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police authorities, during a search of the premises, found the corpse of the security guard within the security post. The broadcaster’s body was later found inside her apartment.
While her vehicle was also discovered missing from the premises, Babaseyi had said in an earlier statement.
