President Emmanuel Macron said Thursday that 85 French rescue workers would be deployed to Venezuela “immediately” after deadly twin earthquakes struck the country.
“France stands ready, together with its European partners, to provide assistance to the affected populations in response to the needs expressed by the Venezuelan authorities,” he said on X. “A team of 85 French rescuers specialised in search and debris clearance will be deployed immediately.”
