Real Madrid have taken a major step in their pursuit of RB Leipzig’s highly rated young winger, Yan Diomande, after reportedly reaching a verbal agreement on personal terms with the 19-year-old Côte d’Ivoire international.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, writing on X on Saturday, Diomande has given Real Madrid the green light on contractual terms.
The agreement mirrors the one he reportedly reached with Paris Saint-Germain in June, positioning the Spanish giants as strong contenders to sign one of Europe’s brightest young talents.
Real Madrid submitted an opening bid worth approximately €90 million, plus €10 million in add-ons, but RB Leipzig promptly rejected the offer.
Undeterred, the Spanish club is preparing an improved bid as it looks to secure the services of the explosive winger.
Diomande joined Leipzig from Leganés just one year ago in a deal worth around €20 million and enjoyed a breakout 2025–26 Bundesliga season.
He scored 12 goals and provided nine assists in 33 league appearances, showcasing his blistering pace, dribbling ability, and attacking threat from the flanks.
His performances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup further enhanced his reputation, attracting interest from several of Europe’s elite clubs.
