The Borno State Government has presented official vehicles to three outstanding school principals in recognition of their exceptional service, dedication, and remarkable contributions to the development of education in the state.
The vehicles were presented on behalf of Governor Babagana Zulum by the Borno State Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, Lawan Wakilbe, as part of the government’s commitment to promoting excellence, motivating educators, and strengthening leadership in public schools.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Wakilbe said the recognition was not merely a reward for years of service but an acknowledgement of professionalism, resilience, innovation, and measurable impact in the education sector.
He observed that despite the prolonged security challenges experienced in many parts of the state, numerous teachers and school administrators remained committed to their responsibilities, ensuring that teaching and learning continued under difficult circumstances.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the Borno State Government’s commitment to identifying, encouraging, and rewarding exceptional performance across the education sector, emphasising that hard-working and dedicated teachers would continue to receive the recognition they deserve.
“No dedicated teacher will be left behind. We will continue to recognize and reward excellence because our teachers remain the backbone of the education sector,” Wakilbe stated.
