Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has declared that his administration will campaign for another term in office based on its record of achievements rather than fresh election promises, insisting that the people of the state can already see the impact of his government’s development initiatives.

Governor Radda made the declaration on Friday during the inauguration of APC Zalla Movement coordinators for the 34 Local Government Areas and 361 wards of Katsina State at the People’s Square, Katsina. The event was organised to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures under the leadership of the late Dr. Bala Nuhu Kankia.

Addressing party faithful, the governor said the administration had executed projects across every part of the state, placing it in a strong position to seek renewed public support based on performance.

“Today, the people are no longer looking only at promises. In the next election, we will show the people what we have done, not make new promises,” Governor Radda declared.

He maintained that every one of the state’s 361 political constituencies had benefited from one project or intervention undertaken by his administration.

“In all the 361 constituencies in Katsina State, there is no constituency without projects from this administration,” he said.

Governor Radda described the inauguration of the APC Zalla Movement leadership as a significant milestone in strengthening collaboration between the movement and the existing APC structure, urging the newly inaugurated coordinators to remain committed, disciplined and focused on deepening the party’s presence at the grassroots.

He charged the leaders to intensify public enlightenment campaigns by taking information about government policies, programmes and achievements directly to communities across the state.

To enhance the movement’s operations, the governor announced that his administration would provide vehicles to its three zonal structures to facilitate mobilisation and outreach activities.

He also called on party leaders and supporters to remain united in protecting the mandate freely given to the APC by the people, assuring them that his administration would continue to deliver democratic dividends while seeking divine guidance in governance.

Governor Radda paid tribute to the late Dr. Bala Nuhu Kankia for founding the APC Zalla Movement, describing him as a committed party loyalist whose vision had strengthened the APC’s political structure. He expressed confidence that expanding the movement to the local government and constituency levels would further boost grassroots mobilisation.
