Non-indigenes in Kaduna State, under the aegis of the Kaduna State Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for the All Progressives Congress, on Saturday declared their support for Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group made its position known during a mega rally with the theme, “Together as One, We Stand for Uba Sani – Our Man,” held in Kaduna.
The rally, which assumed a carnival-like atmosphere, commenced around 9am from the Kigo Road area, where a large number of non-indigenes reside, and passed through Constitution Road and the ever-busy Ahmadu Bello Way before terminating at the APC secretariat along Muhammadu Buhari Way, formerly known as WAFF Road, around 11am.

The event attracted leaders and members of different ethnic associations in the state, who marched through the streets displaying placards and banners in support of the APC administration.
Addressing the gathering, the running mate to Governor Uba Sani in the 2027 governorship election, Comrade Jerry Adams, who represented the governor, said the administration remained committed to treating residents of the state equally, irrespective of their ethnic or religious backgrounds.
Adams said the governor had demonstrated through his policies and programmes that Kaduna belonged to everyone living and doing legitimate business in the state.
He said, “Governor Uba Sani is a governor for everybody. He is a governor for the Muslims, Christians and people of all ethnic groups living in Kaduna.
“This is a government that recognises that Kaduna belongs to everybody. Your businesses are safe, and your properties are safe. Nobody is pressurising anybody to leave the state.”

The APC governorship running mate urged the non-indigenes to continue supporting the administration and mobilise their families and communities for the 2027 elections.
He said, “I am calling on all of you to mobilise your families, friends, brothers and sisters. Mobilise all members of your various communities.
“We appreciate your solidarity and support. What you are doing today shows that Kaduna is truly a state for all of us.”
Adams, a former Chairman of the Kaduna State Revenue Service, also urged the participants to maintain unity and support the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu, saying the administrations at both the state and federal levels were committed to improving the lives of Nigerians.
He added, “We thank you for coming, for showing solidarity with us and for showing solidarity with the APC and our people.”
Also speaking, the Chairman of Jaba Local Government Area, Larai Ishaku, said the state government had introduced programmes aimed at improving the welfare and economic well-being of residents.

Ishaku particularly highlighted government support for businesses and other interventions designed to enable residents to improve their livelihoods.
She urged the people to continue to support programmes that would promote good governance and improve their standard of living.
Earlier, one of the conveners of the rally, Chief John Nwankwere, said the gathering was organised to demonstrate the support of non-indigenous communities for the APC administration.
Nwankwere reaffirmed the commitment of the participating groups to the party, saying the communities would continue to mobilise support for the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.
Similarly, the Chairman of the Political Committee of Ndigbos in Kaduna State, Chief Patrick Lawson, said members of the Igbo community remained committed to peaceful coexistence and participation in the political process.
Wilson said the rally was an opportunity for the various communities to demonstrate their unity and support for the administration.
The event ended with leaders of the participating ethnic associations reaffirming their support for Sani and Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
