Veteran entertainer Daddy Showkey says he discovered his singing talent in a garage, encouraging young people to pursue their dreams and insisting that success is attainable for anyone willing to work for it.
Veteran Nigerian musician Daddy Showkey has revealed that he returned to life in the garage after the breakup of the Pretty Busy Boys, saying the experience eventually led him to discover his talent as a solo artiste.
Speaking about his journey to success, the galala music pioneer said he initially struggled to determine his next step after the group disbanded, even considering a career in the military before finding his path in music.

According to him, success is not predetermined for a select few, stressing that everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
“God does not choose who will succeed. You cannot say God has chosen only one person to succeed. God wants to bless everybody,” he said.
“After the Pretty Busy Boys, everybody went solo. Me, I was thinking, what will I do? I went back to the garage. First of all, I wanted to join the army… but the training was too much for me.”
“I came back to Lagos and went back to the garage. It was in the garage that I discovered that I have the potential to be a singer.”
