The APC has secured a clean sweep of Ebonyi State’s council elections, winning all 13 local government areas and 171 wards contested, according to results announced by EBSIEC Chairman Enyi Patrick on Sunday.

The APC flagThe Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC) has declared the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) winner of the local government elections held across the state on Saturday.

The Chairman of EBSIEC, Enyi Patrick, announced the results on Sunday, disclosing that the APC won all 13 local government areas and 171 wards contested in the election.

Patrick said the election was conducted peacefully across the state.

Meanwhile, Governor Francis Nwifuru praised the peaceful conduct of the local government elections conducted by EBSIEC.

Stakeholders and key political figures across the state also commended the voter turnout and the smooth conduct of the exercise.

The election recorded notable voter participation across the state’s 13 local government areas and 171 political wards.

Nwifuru, who cast his vote at Edupfu Okemini Polling Unit 002 in Oferekpe Agbaja, Izzi Local Government Area, commended EBSIEC for maintaining order and ensuring a smooth electoral process.
