In its consumer price index (CPI) report released on Wednesday, the NBS said the June 2026 “headline inflation rate showed a decrease of 0.02% compared to the May 2026 headline inflation rate”.

Nigeria’s headline inflation rate came in at 15.91 per cent in the month of June, down from 15.93 per cent in May of 2026, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), marking the first drop in three months.

In its consumer price index (CPI) report released on Wednesday, the NBS said the June 2026 “headline inflation rate showed a decrease of 0.02% compared to the May 2026 headline inflation rate”.

“On a month-on-month basis, the headline inflation rate in June 2026 was 1.66%, which was 0.09% lower than the rate recorded in May 2026 at 1.75%.
