In a statement on Wednesday, Commission of Environment, Tokunbo Wahab urged residents to clean their homes, drainages, markets, and public spaces to prevent flooding and health risks.

The Governor of Lagos State, alongside other senior government officials of the state, took part in the monthly sanitation exercise in the Ojuelegba area of the state.

Our correspondent, who monitored the exercise, reported that the Governor was flanked by the likes of the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.

The Lagos State Government had, a few days ago, issued a public reminder for the monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise.

In a statement on Wednesday, Wahab urged residents to clean their homes, drainages, markets, and public spaces to prevent flooding and health risks.

According to the commissioner, a cleaner and healthier Lagos is a collective responsibility.

Wahab stressed that proper waste disposal, regular environmental maintenance, and adherence to sanitation guidelines are essential to preventing flooding, reducing environmental hazards, and promoting public health.
