A 79-year-old woman has been declared missing in Ekiti State after she reportedly left home to buy an item and failed to return, prompting her family to seek help in locating her.
A 79-year-old woman, Olufunke Ilesanmi, has been declared missing in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, with her family appealing to the public for information that could help locate her.
Mrs Ilesanmi was reportedly last seen shortly after 5:00 p.m. on Monday around the Abaya Medi area of Odo Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti.
According to her family, she left home to purchase an item but did not return. Efforts by relatives to establish her whereabouts have so far been unsuccessful.
At the time she was last seen, Mrs Ilesanmi was wearing a cream-coloured round-neck top and a wrapper.
The family said it is deeply concerned about her safety and has urged anyone who may have seen her or has information about her whereabouts to come forward.
A cash reward is also being offered to anyone who provides credible information that directly leads to her location and safe return.
Mrs Ilesanmi is 79 years old and was last seen in the Abaya Medi area of Odo Poly Road, Ado-Ekiti. Anyone with information about her whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest police station. The family can also be reached at R56 Iyedi Street, Ido-Ekiti, and 22 Dongo Avenue, Ilawe Road.
As of the time of this report, efforts to reach out to the Ekiti State Police Command were not successful.
